Privacy Policy

Who is responsible
The data controller is Diogo Ruivo Visuals (DR Visuals), tax number 217472451, based in Almeirim, district of Santarém, Portugal. For any question about this policy, write to diogorvisuals@gmail.com or use the details on the contact page.
What we collect
The contact form records your enquiry on our servers (names, wedding date and location, the collection you are interested in and, if you give them, phone, email and message) and then opens WhatsApp with the message already written — which is only sent if and when you send it.
We also store the IP address and the date of the enquiry, to stop the form being abused. These are kept in a file that is closed to the public and accessible only to DR Visuals, and are used solely to answer your enquiry and, if we go ahead, to provide the service. They are not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to diogorvisuals@gmail.com.
When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or Instagram, we process the data you give us (name, contact details, wedding date and location) for the sole purpose of answering your enquiry and, if we go ahead, providing the service.
Your private gallery
When we photograph a wedding, we create a private gallery for the couple, with its own address and a password. In it we store:
- the photographs from the wedding, at the size prepared for the website, and a thumbnail of each one;
- the couple’s names, and the date and location of the wedding;
- the password, stored only in encrypted form — not even we can read it or show it to you again;
- a second password, if the couple asks for guest access;
- the photographs chosen for the album and the date the choice was confirmed;
- the number of visits to the gallery and the date of the last one, so we know whether you have seen it.
The gallery is not indexed by search engines and the photographs have no public address: they are only served once the password has been accepted. Even so, anyone who receives the link and the password can pass them on — as with any private link.
The full-quality files are kept on Google Drive, in a folder shared by link. In that case Google’s privacy policy also applies. Films, where they exist, are hosted on YouTube as unlisted or on the same Drive.
We also keep, for 15 minutes, the IP address of anyone who gets the password wrong several times, to stop automated attempts.
When the link is shared through WhatsApp, Facebook or iMessage, those apps show a preview image with a photograph from the wedding, the couple’s names and the date. That image is the only part of the gallery reachable without the password, because those apps fetch it without being able to sign in. It contains no instructions and not the password, and it can be switched off at the couple’s request.
The gallery stays available for as long as it is useful to the couple. At their request we close it or delete it at any time — they only have to write to us.
Cookies
We use only storage strictly necessary for the website to work. Specifically: a session cookie that keeps you signed in to a private gallery while the window is open (one per wedding, and entering one gives no access to another), and local storage in your browser so that the opening animation is not repeated and so we remember that you have already seen the trailer.
We use no advertising cookies, we do no cross-site tracking, and we share no data with advertising networks.
Photographs
The photographs published on the public part of this site — the portfolio and the home page — are shown with the permission of the couples in them. If you appear in one of the images and want it removed, simply contact us and we will take it down.
The photographs in the private galleries are not public and are not used for promotion without the couple’s written permission.
How long we keep it
Messages and contact details are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for the period required by legal and accounting obligations.
The private galleries and the photographs in them stay available for as long as they are useful to the couple, and are deleted on request. Records of failed sign-in attempts are deleted after 24 hours.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing. Just contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
Changes
If this policy changes, the update date above will be changed.
